What does it cost to get public records?

Fees vary depending on the actual time required to research and provide the information.  You should submit your request without payment. We will review your information and provide you with a letter explaining the required fees. 
 



The City of La Grande has a standardized fee schedule established by City Ordinance Resolution. Some of the more common fees related to records are listed below:

SERVICEFEE

1. Photocopies

 

$0.25 per page;

$1.00 minimum

2. Facsimiles

 

$2.00 first page;

$1.00 each additional page

3. Electronic Copies

 

$0.25 per page;

$1.00 minimum

4. Certified Copies

    - Photocopies certified to be accurate copies of orginal documents

$5.00 for each certification;

plus $0.25 per page

5. CD's and/or DVD's

 

$10.00 each

 

6. Photographs

 

$5.00 per page

 

7. Call Logs

 

$10.00 first four (4) pages;

$0.25 per page thereafter

8. Audio Recordings

 

$25.00 per call or incident

 

9. Mailing Charges:

    - Police Reports

 

    - CD's and/or DVD's

    - Photographs


$10.00 first four (4) pages;

$0.25 per page thereafter

$5.00 per disk

$5.00 per page

10. Record Search and Production Fees

 

$35.00 per hour

under 15 minutes - no charge
