NOXIOUS VEGETATION NOTICE
READ CAREFULLY

Pursuant to Ordinance #3241 Series 2018, it is the duty of all persons in charge of real property located within the City limits to keep their property free from noxious vegetation.  The meaning of “noxious vegetation” in this ordinance includes, but is not limited to, vegetation that is, or is likely to become: a health hazard; a fire hazard, a traffic hazard; non-ornamental grasses over 10” high; and other vegetation identified as noxious weeds within the ordinance.

Any person interested in having the City remove noxious vegetation from your property may contact the City and the City will abate the noxious vegetation for a fee sufficient to cover the costs incurred by the City through the process. Contact the City of La Grande Code Enforcement Officer at 541-963-1017 for inquiries on the process and cost of having the City abate noxious vegetation from your property.

Failure to coordinate abatement with the City, or failure to abate noxious vegetation by persons in charge of real property within the City limits within 10 days of the date of publication of this notice may result in the City abating the noxious vegetation and charging the cost of doing so to the owner or person in charge of the property and placing a lien on the property.
