Current Staffing

LGFD operates with a full roster of 1 fire Chief, 1 administrative assistant, 3 Captains, and 12 Firefighters. All Firefighters are required to be certified through Oregon Health Authority at either the EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate, EMT-Advanced, or Paramedic levels. Our EMT's and Paramedics provide care under the supervision of medical director Dr. Brian Reynolds (Grande Ronde Hospital Emergency Department Physician).

Firefighters work a 48/96 schedule consisting of two consecutive 24 hour shifts followed by four days off. There are 3 shifts, each consisting of a shift captain who oversees operations and administrative duties of all members assigned to that shift.

All firefighters employed by LGFD are members of the International Associating of Firefighters (IAFF) Local 924 Union.
