CITY of LA GRANDE ANNOUNCEMENT

A Primary Election will NOT be held in the City of La Grande on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. Pursuant to Section 29. of the City of La Grande City Charter, if two (2) or fewer candidates file for any particular Position Number, the names of those candidates will be placed on only the November 5, 2024, General Election Ballot.

The filing deadline for Mayor and Councilor candidates in Position Number 1 (Mayor), and Councilor Position Numbers 2, 3, and 4, was 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. The eligible candidates who have qualified for certification on the November Ballot are:

POSITION NUMBER 1, MAYOR, TWO-YEAR TERM -- Justin Rock

POSITION NUMBER 2, COUNCILOR, FOUR-YEAR TERM -- Rikki Jo Hickey

POSITION NUMBER 3, COUNCILOR, FOUR-YEAR TERM -- David Glabe

POSITION NUMBER 4, COUNCILOR, FOUR-YEAR TERM -- Mary Ann Miesner
