I have lost my birth certificate. How do I get a new one?

The City of La Grande does not maintain birth certificates. Birth certificates, death certificates, pre-adoption records, marriage certificates, and divorce certificates can be obtained from the Vital Records Unit of the Oregon Health Division in Portland. You can reach that office by calling (971) 673-1190.
