PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
The City is experiencing extreme snow fall conditions throughout town with the worst areas being on the west and south sides of town. We ask that you avoid these areas. The weather forecast is predicting rain for the next three days which will make conditions more hazardous and may result in some flooding and plugged drains. The City of La Grande Public Works Department is plowing and removing the snow throughout town as quickly as possible with a concentrated effort in the worst areas of town. The City is asking citizens to please park off of the street to allow adequate plowing to take place, and to avoid the closed roads. If you should notice a plugged drain, we are asking for your support with opening these. The City is asking for your patience during this time. If you are an individual with medical issues or circumstances which require extra assistance, you are asked to call the Public Works Department.
