Final Reminder for Improperly Placed Political Signs

As we move into the final week prior to election day, all candidates and citizens are again reminded that it is their responsibility to ensure compliance with City Ordinance Number 3081, Series 2009, by making certain that all signs supporting candidates and/or ballot measures are placed on private property, with permission from the property owner, and not in the City's public right-of-ways or posted on utility poles, trees, rocks, or any other public sign, including traffic signs.  Candidates and citizens are asked to IMMEDIATELY relocate signs currently in violation, to avoid removal by City Staff.  Candidates are also reminded that ALL political signs must be removed by Sunday, November 7, 2010.

Please call City Recorder/Elections Officer Sandy Lund at 541-962-1309, with questions or concerns.
