Major Impact Areas & Updates
• The alley between Elm & Depot behind BELLA and Mt. Emily Ale House is now OPEN.
• The alley between Elm & Depot behind Sterling Bank will be partially closed for approximately two more weeks.
• Access to the alley on the east side of Elm by Furniture West will be closed for approximately one more week.
• The sidewalk on the east side of Elm between Adams and Jefferson will remain closed for approximately two more weeks.
• The sidewalk on the north side of Washington between Depot and the public parking lot will be closed for the week, but should reopen by the weekend.
• Finish work will continue on the new accent wall on Adams near Sterling Bank.

Project News
• In order to minimize construction impacts during the upcoming holiday shopping season downtown, the project to reconstruct the alley approaches throughout downtown (outside of the Big H area – to include Fourth, Chestnut, Fir, Greenwood & Hemlock between Jefferson & Washington) has been delayed until Spring 2013.

Work this week is again the same as last week and includes sidewalk & building basement work and alley reconstruction work. Some finish work remains on the new wall near Sterling Bank on Adams.

There will be closures affecting both alleys between Depot & Elm and the alley near Furniture West on Elm. The sidewalk is closed on Washington between Depot & the public parking lot and on the east side of Elm between Adams & Jefferson. Travel lanes on the east side of Elm may be temporarily closed.

Island Avenue, between Adams Avenue and Washington Avenue

Work this week is the same as last week and includes sidewalk & building basement work and alley reconstruction work. Some finish work remains on the new wall near Sterling Bank on Adams.
Sidewalks will remain closed on the east side of Elm between Adams & Jefferson and on the north side of Washington between Depot and the public parking lot. Alleys between
Elm & Depot will remain partially closed. There may be temporary sidewalk closures on Adams near Sterling Bank.
Travel lanes on the east side of Elm may be temporarily closed. All other sidewalks and parking areas in the project area are reopened.

Celebration for Centenarians and a Dream

Work this week includes sidewalk & building basement work and alley reconstruction prep work. New benches, trash cans & planters continued to be placed throughout the project.

Sidewalks will be closed on the east side of Elm between Adams & Jefferson and on the north side of Washington between Depot and the public parking lot. Travel lanes on Elm between Adams & Jefferson in this area will be temporarily closed as well. Alleys between Elm & Depot will be partially closed. All other sidewalks and parking areas in the project area are reopened.
